Richmond Olympic Oval

On Sunday September 12, 2021 the Forever Young 8K event is taking place on the back plaza of our Richmond Olympic Oval. This is a running event for 55+ and encourages active living and lifestyle into your later years. We would apperciate volunteers like you who are 16 and up and have City of Richmond PIC completed within the last three years to help in roles that are entailed with the delivery of a running event including Registration/Bag Check, Course Marshall and KM Marker. All volunteers must be comfortable on their feet for the duration of the event, must be comfortable dealing with race participants, spectators and management. Volunteer shifts are ranging from 7 am to 12 pm on the event day.
Fall Basketball Volunteer
Mondays - 5:30-8:15PM from Sept 13-Dec 13
Volunteers will be responsible for:
- greet participants as they arrive
- be a positive role model
- encourage them to participate and have fun
- praise participants when they improve or perform well
- show enthusiasm for the sport and encourage fair play
- assist the head instructor as needed, for example: demonstrate basic skills, such as dribbling, ball control, passing, shooting
- participate in mini games, as needed
- help with equipment set up and clean up

* All candidates must complete an interview along with a criminal record check followed by in-house training.
* Volunteers must be over the age of 15.
City Centre Community Centre
Monday – Sunday 6:00am – 10:00pm
City Centre Community Centre has 6 Youth Leadership Volunteer Teams! Leadership Teams meet weekly during the school year to plan projects and initiatives around their Team themes.
We believe in teamwork. Youth Leadership Team Members learn effective communication, project management and marketing skills through exploration and collaboration. Members are also given opportunities to step up into Co-Captain, Events/Logistic Director, Marketing Director, and External Director Leadership roles when they feel ready as well.
